In 1970s the Yugoslav passport was one of the best in the world for travel. It was funny and interesting and the characters were likable (except Bodmer, of course, who was so endearingly and reliably unlikeable). They're so strange. I can't help but believe, though, that it was all based in a murky and xenophobic truth about Switzies and that secretly nothing has changed. It was also described as 'one of the most convenient in the world, as it was one of the few with which a person could travel freely through both the East and West' during the cold war (Ruud Van Dijk's "Encyclopedia of the Cold War"). Of course there are all the stereotypes about cleanliness and orderliness and blind adherence to the rules, but then there is the daily reality of what I see here (which isn't as neurotic as you would imagine). Especially Sennentuntschi a combination of Thriller, Mysthic, and bloody Facts will be kept in mind. One can be sure that if watched with alert eyes, viewers can learn how bureaucracy can meddle with ordinary people's lives.
