Set in the late 1800s, after the fall of Shogunate Japan, onetime assassin Jubee Kamata (Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe -- Inception, The Last Samurai) lives in seclusion on a small farm. This new UNFORGIVEN is the inferior film in every respect, with a boring villain and a lack of talented actors and characterisation that made the original such a great movie. Jubei Kamata (Ken Watanabe), who is on the side of the Edo shogunate government, kills many people. The plot closely follows the original 1992 film, but shifts the setting to Japan's Shortly after the start of the Meiji period, a former samurai under the Years later, in a frontier town, two brothers, Sanosuke and Unosuke Hotta, disfigure a prostitute.

Despite being wounded several times, Jubei is able to kill Oishi and several of his men, and the survivors flee. Having returned to Jubei's farm, Natsume explains how she might be willing to settle down there with Goro, looking after Jubei's children. Before he leaves, he orders Goro and the scarred prostitute, Natsume, to deliver his share of the bounty to his children and look after them. He therefore demands that Himeji leave Goro and the Ainu out the account, and threatens to kill the writer if he mentions them. Ken Watanabe plays the Eastwood role but it's something of a one-note performance; he lacks Clint's gravitas. He is barely able to make a living.

He is last seen walking alone, in the snow, somewhere in Hokkaido.
