Fanny Are any is good as she always is, but it is Kacey Mottet Klein who steels the show.

Where maybe Ursual Meier's direction is weak is the portrayal of his extreme mental health conditions border on cliche. He goes to the post office to send the diary entry to his teacher before he shoots his parents and turns himself in to the police.
Nevertheless, both Fanny Ardant - who is terrifically dazzling - and Kacey Mottet-Klein perfectly portray the two main subjects; it's great, like the slightly better Mystified by Meier's approach to this fact-based story (made for Swiss television, though it premiered at Berlin; it's an hour-and-change-long episode of a true-crime anthology series).
