It's not often you get to see a film so heavy with female leads, that doesn't have some sort of romantic spin on it. This true story (or based on truth—which ought to go without saying) of a group of British, Australian, Dutch and American women interned by the Japanese in unspeakable conditions in Sumatra during the Second World War has some interesting characters and certain of its scenes are…what a wonderful yet heartbreaking film, women supporting women and overcoming misery through music with fantastic performances all around, especially by cate blanchett.pitch perfect 4 was just a little bit more dramatic than I had anticipatedwatching Glenn Close and Julianna Margulies act together I can't help but pine for a Damages/Good Wife crossover specialwhy did they have to torture cate blanchett like that ????? MA15+ 1 hour 54 min . So I had a little bit of regret at the end, because I had been wishing various people were dead...but thankfully I then realised that most of the people were fictionalised and it was just some of the stories that were true/some of the things the women did were based on factual events.Anyway...the cast was awesome.
