Grønland and Haugenstua, Oslo and for all else. Forget Nordic murder noir. There’s a True Detective feel to the scenes between Wever and Collette, as they try to piece together something they can’t quite make sense of.

A little naive the sweden intelligence. Sexual assault, after all, isn’t something TV always deals with sensitively – just look at Game of Thrones, where rape, Scenes with the police are reminiscent of those in other Netflix originals – namely documentaries Elsewhere the series does well to temper swift flashback scenes of Adler’s alleged attack with a fleshed-out portrayal of somebody in crisis. Unbelievable review – grimly credible story of trauma, power and injustice 4 / 5 stars 4 out of 5 stars.

As a former lecturer in Arabic and Islamic Studies, who has written a major report on radicalization in Muslim schools, and who has written many articles about radical Islam, I was worried that this series might be filled with all sorts of misunderstandings and inaccuracies and mistakes. Definitely the best Swedish series I've seen (I live in Sweden) and among the best series about modern terrorism and young people's radicalization from any country. Pensum ..for the people in Rinkeby, Stockholm.

The most intense drama I have seen since Breaking Bad. Season 1 : The main character (Fatima, a woman cop in Sweden) isn't trusted by her colleagues, and she single-handedly co-ordinates with another Swedish woman named Perven (who is stuck in ISIS territory of Syria with her terrorist husband and baby), to gather information about terror attacks in Sweden, in exchange for rescuing her. This series exceeds all expectations The hero, Pervin, dies, while the villain, Ibbe, gets off scot-free.

Not even a dull moment, plenty of twists and plenty of action keeping me under thrilled pleasure all the time. Absolutely thrilling, shocking and surprising! Was this review helpful? Aliette Opheim is superb and the acting by all the cast is excellent. This proragonist is just unredeemable. This is how a terror thriller has to be! Really good story, spellbinding, and also has a lot of suspense. A good show. With Caliphate you never have a dull moment. Must see series! Was this review helpful? People rate seasons like True detective and The Night Of with very high numbers but they are really slow moving expect the last 2 episodes.
